7 Habits of Highly Fulfilled People Satinder Dhiman 9788183224147 Books

This is absolutely not a “How-to” book! This is an incredibly wonderful and intelligent journey into understanding the critical role of continuous education, learning and self-discovery that leads us to the path to true happiness attainable through compassion, finding pleasure in the right things, virtue, capturing of truth, and selfless, caring concern about others.

The beauty and the uniqueness of Dr. Dhiman’s work lies in the fact that he does not lecture, does not play the ultimate authority on the subject matter and does not promise you to mold you into becoming a “significant leader.” Instead, he delivers his teachings through engaging the reader in a dialogue by the way of stories offering “something to all levels of experience,” and fascinating insights provided through quotes from Plato, Aristotle, Confucius, Durant, Einstein and Frankl.

The value of this book is in the fact that the reader is constantly challenged to check and question his/her inner world and convictions by the very soft spoken Dr. Dhiman. If, like many of us, you, the reader have spent a life time chasing the dream of becoming something or someone, be prepared to find out that: “There is this desire for ‘being’ and the struggle for ‘becoming.’ The world of becoming lies outside and is teemed with competition, comparison, aggression and acquisition. It is a path without any final destination and a race with no visible finish line. The world of being lies within us and is paved with self-knowledge, contentment, contemplation and understanding.”

Finally, just when you think that the “Seven Habits” that you are about to be introduced to are going to be principles that are easy to grasp, you are in for a surprise. Dr. Dhiman takes the reader to the most challenging ride of them all; the ride toward “Other-centeredness” leading to: The Gift of Total Acceptance: “Expect nothing, accept everything.” But he warns us; “Total acceptance not as a passive resignation but to let things be.”

Dr. Dhiman is not only a great thinker, a writer and a role model but, also a great teacher through whom kindness, happiness, generosity and selfless care for others shine.

7 Habits of Highly Fulfilled People Satinder Dhiman 9788183224147 Books Reviews

Dear Satinder,

I not only enjoyed reading this book - it is not overstated when I say it changed my life significantly and gave me guidance to a more meaningful life. I know this is easy said, and this is why I want to give you an example, how my life changed after I carefully thought about your words (written and said during your workshop). From last spring on I took some effort in figuring out whom I really care about and who supported me in living a good life. I went to every person that appeared on this list and tried to help this person to achieve a more meaningful and decent life. For some people I became a mentor, some I supported with my time or money or other things without asking anything in return. Doing this not only felt right, but was a whole new experience - it felt like I did something really meaningful for the first time in my life. The positive energy that came back to me from all those people was even more surprising and meaningful to me. I saw that some of these people changed for good, really changed, because of the little good I gave to them. I want to thank you because you set something in motion that is now at the very heart of my 'being'. Also I do more and more things not to achieve an end but from pure motivation only. I concentrate doing things to do things. It is fascinating how the world changes when you change. I also say 'thank you' to every person now who provides a service or anything else to me - it makes their life and also my life so much better - you can see it in their eyes. I cannot thank you enough for helping me to change my view of the world in this way. It is a great book that I already have and further will recommend to many people.

best regards,
Arne

This book is life changing.I have been recommending it to everyone I know.
From the bottom of my heart with all honesty, I love this book and I believe that the information in it brilliant and truly are gifts. The author has taken so many priceless ideas, concepts, stories, teachings etc and summed it all up to flow in a way that is easy to understand and follow. Don't get me wrong though, some of the concepts are so deep that I had to re-read them multiple times. This book Is about awareness and it teaches you to be present in the purest way possible by knowing yourself and being. The truth is there is so much to say about this book but I shouldn't go on, I just recommend reading every word of this book. I am very thankful for this book.
The book 7 Habits of Highly Fulfilled People is absolutely amazing. I would recommend this book. I read three times and always I am open up something new for myself. Chapter 11 about meditation simply WOW... If the world had more people like Dr. Satinder it would be a better place.
